SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is alarmed with regard to the significant amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area daily. The company place made for intervention activities a substantial influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this sassa status reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to permit the servicing of all clients and maximize use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
