SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed in regards to the substantial range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the sassa status lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's website no completely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The service stage established for intervention encounters a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging to the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to enable the servicing of all consumers and raise access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
